ABOUT

I am a biracial cisgender woman living in the Bay Area with my husband and two children. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. My Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is from Alliant University. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT53746) in 2013 and have over 15 years of experience in the field.

Before starting my private practice in 2022, I worked as a clinician within a major HMO, mostly with children, teens and families in general and intensive outpatient programs (for adolescents with more severe symptoms post or pre-hospitalization). I also worked with young adults in chemical dependency programs, and juveniles on probation in a community-based setting. I specialize in anxiety, depression, behavior and parenting issues, though have worked with a variety of mental health issues in adolescents and adults. With a foundation in evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I use an eclectic mix of modalities tailored to your needs. You can expect a warm and welcoming environment, probably with some humor, when we work together. While you set the pace and treatment goals, my job will be to push you gently when needed, and always be a safe and trusting source of support. I am curious to get to know you, and look forward to finding your strengths while offering support and skills to get you where you want to be.
